The aim of this "Call for Special Sessions" is to include thematic sessions in the Technical Program that could add value to BRAINCON 2026. They should include thought-provoking presentations, introducing novel ideas and experiences followed by discussions with the audience.
If you would like to propose a special session to BRAINCON 2026, you are invited to send your “special session” proposal to the Program Committee by 12th November 2025.
How to Propose a Special Session
To propose a Special Session, you should send the following information to braincon.brainallianz@gmail.com before 12th November 2025:
Submission of Special Session proposal must have the following:
- Session title
- A brief summary of the session contents describing the potential impact of the proposed session (maximum 3500 characters)
- Target audience
- Topic area (please choose one relevant to the Theme of the Conference)
- Name, address and affiliations of the session's organizers (one or two people)
After having received your session proposal, it will be evaluated and you will receive an acceptance/rejection notification by email on 15th November 2025.
Your Role as Organizer/Chair
Your role as Organizer/Chair of a Special Session would be to:
- Decide on the title and content of your session aligned with the theme of BRAINCON 2026
- Widely publicize your session
- Obtain at least 10 papers from students, researchers, and practitioners to form a Special Session.
- It is expected to have international contributors in the Special Session.
- Find suitably qualified reviewers to review the papers of the Special Session.
- All authors and reviewers are required to create an account in the Microsoft Conference Management Toolkit (Microsoft CMT) portal.
- Manage the review of the papers using the online review system on the CMT portal.
- Ensure that all authors comply with the Guidelines for Paper Submission and format given on the website.
- Ensure papers are uploaded onto the review system by the published deadline.
Format
- Duration of the Special Session: 2.5 – 3 hrs.
- Each session should have a minimum of 10 oral presentations.
- Each presentation should last a maximum of 15 minutes.
- The session can include active group discussions introduced by the moderators.
Review Criteria
Sessions will be reviewed based on the following criteria:
- Quality of the contents
- Diversity of speakers and institutions involved
- Innovativeness
- Relevance of the topic

Please note that after the session acceptance, authors contributing to a special session should submit their papers through the CMT portal:

Author Registration
If your session is accepted, presenting authors should register and confirm their attendance before 26th January, 2026 (author registration deadline). If the selected authors do not register by the deadline, the session will not be included in the Conference Program.
- Special session organizers are expected to attend the conference and chair the session.
- The registration of a minimum of 10 authors per special session is required.
Benefits to Session Organizers
- Registration fee is exempted for the special session chair.
- Certificate will be issued.
- Networking with BRAIN Executive Committee
- Networking with Conference Organizers, Keynote Speakers, Delegates
- Permission to attend all the sessions of the Conference
